Majestic Maja

It’s one of my favorite Filipino desserts of all time – the Maja Blanca :)  This is commonly made from coconut milk and has the consistency of thick gelatine. There can be many variations in terms of ingredients (using ube or squash as main ingredient). But I especially love the one with some sweet corn (maja blanca con maiz). Yummy! The Maja Blanca is usually served during fiestas, parties and other special occasions. But I guess, as a number of Filipinos love it, we end up looking for it and eating it even on seemingly ordinary days. How about you? Have you tasted the majestic Maja lately?
