My first time to use the Bancasi Airport (also known as Butuan Airport) in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, was sometime in 2008. I have to say that at that time, I was quite unhappy with the airport. It could use a lot of improvement. Now, I am much pleased to say that the airport is now much, much better and more comfortable for passengers to use.
Take note that Bancasi airport is the largest airport in Caraga region and the only one in the province of Agusan del Norte. It is also classified as a major commercial airport (a trunkline airport) by the Air Transportation Office of the Department of Transportation and Communications.
Bancasi airport serves flights to and from Manila as well as flights to and from Cebu. Airlines that fly to and from the airport are Cebu Pacific, AirPhil Express and Philippine Airlines.
Update: As of October 2012, Bancasi or Butuan Airport airport has also been serving flights to and from Davao City
